The Indian Navy invites online applications from eligible unmarried male and female candidates for recruitment as Agniveer MR (Chef, Steward, and Hygienist) for the 01/2026 batch. Candidates must have passed Matriculation (Class 10th) from an educational board recognized by the Ministry of Education.

Job Roles & Duties

Selected candidates will be designated under three different trades:

  • Chef: Preparing food as per menu (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian) and managing ration accounting.
  • Steward: Serving food, waiting tables, housekeeping, and maintaining basic mess accounts.
  • Hygienist: Cleaning washrooms, maintaining cleanliness in living zones and offices.

Physical Fitness Standards (PFT)

Passing the physical exam is mandatory. Standard parameters are as follows:

  1. Run: 1.6 Km in 6 minutes 30 seconds for males; 8 minutes for females.
  2. Squats (Uthak Baithak): 20 for males; 15 for females.
  3. Push-ups: 12 for males (exempted for females).
  4. Bent Knee Sit-ups: 10 for females (exempted for males).
